Low ongoing taxes

New investment on the island
Carnival Cruise Line opened its Celebration Key destination on Grand Bahama in July 2025, and Phase One of the Grand Bahama International Airport redevelopment began site work in early 2026. Celebration Key is a private cruise destination, so we don't count on its visitors spending in Freeport, but these projects bring jobs, contractors and attention to the island.
